I traveled from Albuquerque to Waco for this session, and let me tell you—it was worth every mile. There’s something incredibly meaningful about photographing someone in the place that helped shape their story. The golden Texas sunset, the iconic Baylor sign in the background, and a senior who radiated grace, joy, and a whole lot of “watch out, world”—it all came together in the most magical way.
As an Albuquerque senior photographer, I often work with high school seniors from across New Mexico—Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho, you name it. But college senior sessions? They’re a special kind of magic. It’s not just a cap-and-gown moment. It’s the end of one chapter and the beginning of something brand new. And when I get to travel and photograph a senior in a location that’s deeply personal to them? That’s the kind of storytelling I live for.
